Sports Facilities

Two synthetic grass tennis courts at Vila Baia and two further courts at nearby Oceanico resorts are used for our programmes, in addition to extra courts when necessary within walking or short driving distance. A shuttle service will be provided if required. Our clients will be able to use the courts at Vila Baia free of charge outside the hours of the tennis coaching programme.

Located on the beach just 5 minutes’ walk from Vila Baia are the water sports’ activities, which include windsurfing, sailing, snorkelling, kayaking and the hire of all necessary equipment. The area is also good for pony-trekking and hill-walking.

Golf
Golf enthusiasts can play at a variety of courses a short drive away. The nearest courses are Boa Vista, Parque da Floresta, Palmares,Salgados, Alto Golf and Penina. There is now the chance to play at Oceanico’s splendid new Amendoeira Golf Resort, where the 2 championship courses have been designed by Nick Faldo and Christie O’Connor Jr.

Amenities
Luz Bay offers a number of good, reasonably prices restaurants, bars, night-clubs and local shops including two supermarkets.

Nearby Lagos is worth a visit as one of the Algarve’s most authentically attractive, unspoilt towns, an intimate place where pavement cafes, bars and restaurants are delightful spots for leisurely eating.
