We are delighted to be based at Vila Baia, an Oceanico resort of
the highest quality.Set against the striking backdrop of Rocha Negra, Vila Baía is located within the village of Praia da Luz, just 6km west of Lagos. Less than200 meters away from the beach, it comprises 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments and penthouse apartments.

As you walk through the archway you step into a resort where the extensive landscaping is laid out in typical Roman style to complement the architecture, with Cypress trees, Olive trees, and Palm trees, bordered by fragrant clusters of lavender.

Reflecting Praia da Luz’s past, when in Roman times, the town was a small Roman bath complex, the architectural design in Vila Baía is in keeping with a Roman theme combined with a Mediterranean influence.

The main leisure area has two large pools, a children’s paddling pool, a children’s playground with slides and play areas, two well maintained Savannah tennis courts. For extra fitness, a well-equipped gymnasium at Estrela Health & Beauty is only a short walk away at Oceanico’s Estrela da Luz resort. At this resort, Elemis treatment can be booked for some serious pampering. Also available at Estrela da Luz is a heated indoor pool, as well as an acrylic tennis court.

At Vila Baia, you can choose throughout the day from light bites at the poolside snack bar or indulge yourself with traditional Italian
cuisine and wines at the on-site family-friendly Italian-themed restaurant, Alloro. Alloro Restaurant is ideally located with views
over the tennis courts and swimming pools at Vila Baia.

Close by the restaurant there are areas of extensive gardens designed to provide oases of tranquillity and quiet. Strolling from the restaurant and leisure areas take a landscaped walkway through the resort to the clusters of apartments which have been specifically designed to complement the surrounding natural landscape while providing the highest standards of accommodation and leisure facilities.

The resort has a village type layout and the apartments are located
in three storey clusters, each one having its own security system, pleasant terraces and underground parking with lift access from the basement to each floor. The interiors of the apartments are designed to ensure both a high level of comfort and functionality. The apartments have all the conveniences of modern-day living including satellite television, under-floor heating, air-conditioning, an electric shutter system on the windows, a fully equipped kitchen and a central vacuum system. Each apartment has a terrace. The 2 and 3 bedroom apartments have at least 2 bathrooms, one of which is en-suite to the master bedroom. Studio apartments are available at Estrela da Luz.

The beach, which gives Praia da Luz it name (the exact English translation of Praia da Luz is "Beach of Light"), is long with fine, pale sand. It is ideal for safe, relaxed bathing.

The climate is gloriously sunny for most of the time throughout the year with the hotter temperatures of the summer mitigated by the cooling flow of a gentle breeze.

Arrival Arrangements
Clients should proceed to the Arrivals Hall at Faro Airport and present a car-hire voucher to the car-hire company. Clients who have booked a transfer should also proceed to the Arrivals Hall where a driver will be holding up a sign with the relevant name.

Upon arrival at Praia da Luz, check-in should be at reception where keys, general information and club membership cards will be handed out.

The Head Coach will make contact on arrival and hold a welcome drinks party at the earliest opportunity.
